Cruise retailer, Cruise118, has witnessed a 20% increase in sales on its ship, Oasis and the Seas. The company is attributing its success to the new programme ‘World Record Cruise Ship’, which is aired on the National geographic channel and follows the creation of the supership. “Feedback from customers is that the recent media coverage of the Oasis of the Seas ship has really shown them the appeal of modern cruise holidays,” said Cruise 118 director, James Cole. There are many myths that surround cruising, and people often think that it’s simply a holiday choice for retired couples, there’s little to do on board, with regimented activities and terrible entertainment. That’s simply not true, and cruise ships are becoming increasingly popular with young people and families alike.”
