Ultra luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises has announced that it is to make an increase the amount of European ports of calls on its itineraries.
Çanakkale, Turkey; La Spezia, Italy; and Castellón de la Plana, Spain will all be on the line’s cruises for the first time in 2013 in a push to increase its visits to ‘off the beaten path’ destinations.
The new ports of call will be on Crystal’s new seven to 13-night Mediterranean itineraries, offering port-extensive routes with some of the most renowned cultural highlights within the region.
“New adventures are part of Crystal’s signature travel experience, even in such a popular cruising area as the Mediterranean,” said Philip Ordever, vice president international sales and marketing. “After sailing for more than two decades, we’re thrilled to still be finding new destinations for our guests to discover, and combining them with popular ports of call which they also love returning time and time again.”
A typical itinerary would be the nine-night cruise onboard Crystal Serenity to Çanakkale taking in the UNESCO World Heritage archaeological sites of Troy and Gallipoli.
Fares on Crystal’s Mediterranean all-inclusive cruises start from GBP2,262 if booked before 31 December.
