Reggie AggarwalON24, a prominent platform for B2B enterprise sales and marketing, has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Cvent, a leader in meetings, events, and hospitality technology. The all-cash transaction is valued at approximately $400 million and is expected to close in the first half of 2026, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals.
The acquisition will merge ON24's advanced webinar and digital engagement capabilities with Cvent's comprehensive event technology offerings. This combination is set to bolster support for marketing, sales, and event teams as digital buying journeys grow increasingly complex. ON24 shareholders will receive $8.10 per share, a 62% premium over the company's closing share price on 10 November 2025.
Sharat Sharan, co-founder and CEO of ON24, expressed enthusiasm for the deal, stating, “We are pleased to announce this transformative transaction which marks an important new chapter for ON24.” Reggie Aggarwal, CEO of Cvent, added, “We look forward to supporting ON24 as they continue to deliver value and working together to expand how brands engage audiences across digital and in-person experiences.”
Once the transaction is finalised, ON24 will become a privately held company, and its common stock will no longer be publicly listed. The deal has been unanimously approved by ON24's Board of Directors.
