DGCA approves winter schedule 2012

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved the winter schedule 2012 for domestic airlines.
In all 10,935 departures per week have been approved, which translate into 1,562 daily departures being operated from 73 airports, starting 28 October 2012.
Below is the list of schedule of services allotted to each scheduled domestic airline.

The winter schedule for 2012 will see capacity reduction by about 19% by Air India, Alliance Air, Jet Airways and JetLite. Low-cost carriers will increase operations during the winter schedule due to capacity augmentation. The DGCA has also approved 42 weekly departures for Mantra – a new scheduled regional airline of North region which commenced operations in July 2012.
