Dolomiti Superski will officially launch the 2025–26 winter season this week as the remaining ski areas open between December 4 and 6. The destination recorded a strong early start over opening weekend, with 42,000 first entries and 540,000 lift rides—an increase of 6% compared to last year.

Excellent snow conditions and significant infrastructure investments are setting the stage for an enthusiastic start to the new season among visitors, as well as strong motivation from mountain tourism operators.

Optimal Conditions for Opening
The central valleys of Dolomiti Superski surrounding the Sella Group are fully prepared for the start of the new winter season. The ski lifts and slopes of Alta Badia, Val Gardena–Alpe di Siusi, Val di Fassa and Carezza, as well as Arabba, will open on Thursday, December 4, 2025, thereby enriching the Dolomiti Superski offer, including the Sellaronda. These join Plan de Corones, 3 Cime Dolomites, Val di Fiemme–Obereggen, and Zoldo (Civetta), which have been operating since November 29.

Starting December 5, most lifts in the areas of Cortina d’Ampezzo, San Martino di Castrozza–Passo Rolle, Rio Pusteria–Bressanone, Alpe Lusia–San Pellegrino, and Civetta will be running, after some of them had already opened individual lifts and slopes earlier.

By the Feast of the Immaculate Conception weekend, Dolomiti Superski will present a ski offer worthy of major occasions.

“Thanks to some of the most favorable weather conditions of the past 20 years, we managed to prepare a large number of slopes in a short time for the enjoyment of our guests, who were already eager to kick off a new winter season with us.

The investments made over past decades confirm that we are on the right path and motivate us to continue, as one of our top priorities remains guaranteeing the highest possible level of quality and reliability for our customers,” says Andy Varallo, cableway operator and President of Dolomiti Superski.

Investments of 215 Million Euros
For the 2025–26 winter season, the cableway companies that make up Dolomiti Superski have invested a total of 215 million euros. These resources went into the replacement of 13 outdated lifts with state-of-the-art systems, the enhancement and increased efficiency of snowmaking infrastructure, and the adaptation of selected ski slopes to today’s needs. The result is an upgraded lift network and snowmaking system that offers even greater comfort, safety, and reliability.

Mandatory Helmet Use for Everyone
The 2025–26 winter season introduces a new rule: mandatory helmet use for all winter sports activities. This requirement has now been extended to all guests, whereas previously it applied only to minors. “This new regulation essentially confirms what was already common practice, as the majority of adult skiers were already wearing helmets. For us operators, it is an important step because it further increases the safety of skiing enthusiasts,” comments Marco Pappalardo, Marketing Director of Dolomiti Superski.

Season Kick-Off Promotion
With the traditional early-season promotion “Dolomiti Superpremière 2025,” guests receive one complimentary vacation day starting from four booked days—an ideal opportunity to enjoy the first snow in the Dolomites.

This offer has become a classic: one free night and one free day of skiing for an unforgettable season opening between November 29 and December 20, 2025, available at participating accommodations (last skipass purchase date: December 17, 2025; skipass valid through December 20, 2025).
