Dubai and Ecuador aim to work closely to boost bilateral trade and enable businesses between both countries.
The Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai has also supported PRO Ecuador in opening its UAE office in Dubai.
Sami Al Qamzi, director general of DED, and Kabalan Abisaab, Ecuador’s ambassador to Qatar, recently met discuss means to promote bilateral exchanges, leverage existing and explore potential opportunities.
“Ecuador understands the significance of the UAE as a regional hub and we can be a good source market for diversified products. As one of the most environmentally diverse countries in the world, Ecuador can also attract a major share of the tourist traffic from this region and the UAE,” said the Ambassador.
“PRO Ecuador will assist Ecuadorian businesses to use the UAE and particularly Dubai as a hub for the Middle East North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region and we are also eager to develop mutual investment opportunities,” said Hussam Hassan, commercial director at PRO Ecuador in the UAE.
