Egyptian outbound travel doubles: Excel Travel

Excel Travel in Egypt is seeing significant growth in outbound travel business as more Egyptian’s opt for holidays to Mediterranean destinations.
In the last year, the company witnessed a two-fold increase in number of bookings for its Mediterranean holiday destinations by Egyptian travelers looking for cost-effective yet exotic locations.
“We have seen a 100% increase in travel bookings in 2012 as compared to the previous year, with a substantial portion of Egyptian travelers opting for nearby destinations like Turkey and Greece,” said George Fawzi, President and CEO of Excel Travel.
“This trend continues into 2013 and we are looking to leverage this demand by offering Egyptians with unique destinations. With volume of inbound tourists to Egyptian destinations continuing to show a deteriorating trend, we see this as an opportunity to increasing our revenue potential by diversifying our product.”
Excel Travel has been working with other tourism partners in Egypt to identify trends and opportunities, while developing innovative solutions for Egypt’s increasing holidaymakers.
