EVA Air has launched a new range of Hello Kitty jets. Company officials and approximately 450 guests celebrated the unveiling last week at a specially-decorated Evergreen Aviation Technologies hangar at Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport.
The airline selected its new Airbus A330-300s to be transformed into Hello Kitty jets. With the exception of green tails and the EVA logos, the entire length of the aircraft will be adorned with images of the popular cartoon kitten and her friends.
The aircraft interiors will be given a similar makeover, with Hello Kitty-themed headrest covers, paper cups and utensils, and meals, while flight attendants will wear Hello Kitty aprons. EVA will offer a series of limited-edition Hello Kitty duty-free products.
The three themed aircraft – Magic Jet, Apple Jet and Global Jet – will be operated from Taipei to Sapporo, Fukuoka, Tokyo and Seoul.
