New team members, roadshows and an incentive have been announced by Prestige Holidays after reporting a surge in business.
The tour operator has taken on 10 new members of staff in reservations, marketing and administration with plans to grow its Canada team and find a new office in Lowestoft.
It has also teamed up with the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) to run a travel agent roadshow in Bournemouth on 30 April and launched an incentive to win an iPad2. In addition an agent roadshow with Bermuda will take place on 18 April.
The developments come as the tour operator reported a 14% increase in its European ‘Destinations’ programme, while its Canada sales are up 30% and its Croatia and UK sales are up 18% and 12% respectively.
“We have had a tremendously positive start to the year,” said John Dixon, chairman and managing director of Prestige Holidays.
“The new staff have been appointed to cope with these increases and to help with the additional sales coming in from Sicily, which is our new star destination for 2013. We have already sold 70% of our budget for this stunning island,” he added.
