About the Opportunity
FCM Meetings and Events is looking for a natural networker and proactive go-getter to join the Meetings and Events team as a Business Development Manager to cover parental leave for a 12 month period.

The primary focus of this role is to gain and increase new business sales for Small Meetings, Group Travel and Virtual/Hybrid/Live Event Management including event production, digital and creative services, incentives and reward and recognition at a profitable level for the company.
This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Responsibilities
To win new business sales at a profitable level from new and existing customers
To develop new business across all FCM Meeting and Events services
Ensure sales activity results in high conversion rates
Ensure that in all pitch responses the brand standards, CVP (Customer Value Proposition) and market proposition are clear and compelling and responses are complete and timely
Ensures all business won maintains minimum margin of 12% Group Travel, 20% for Event Management and 30% for Production
To communicate and collaborate with FCM including FCM Meetings and Events team members on winning sales strategies and on any key changes within existing clients’ business or industry
To develop and maintain a comprehensive client service plan to ensure that each client has a planned and effective keep in touch strategy
Leverage networks within FCTG to assist with the expansion of networks for business acquisition
Participate in the available training opportunities
About You
Demonstrated sales skills in the same or a similar role
Demonstrated customer service experience
Event management course and/or relevant industry experience
MICE product experience in key regions
A knowledge of all relevant MICE suppliers
Tertiary qualification in Business or related field desirable
