About the Opportunity
We are on the hunt for a Digital Public Relations Specialist to join our dynamic, fast-paced and successful Global Marketing team. In this role, you will report to the Global Discipline Leader Content & Social Media, and work collaboratively with the wider Global Brand Marketing team.
In this role you will proactively seek out digital PR opportunities for Flight Centre Brand globally, nurturing relationships with digital influencers and media outlets, and working collaboratively with PR officers and SEO teams in each market for outreach of content to gain improved PR and backlinking.
You will be an expert communicator and storyteller, able to uncover opportunities for newsworthy stories that build awareness for and drive traffic to FCTGs leisure brands. You will also create high quality content (with creative, digital and video support where needed) for both owned channels and to be published on external media outlets, blogs and similar.
Experience in content writing is expected, while a sound understanding of SEO and digital PR is advantageous. You will work closely with the SEO and Content teams, as well as regional marketing teams.
As this role will support the Flight Centre Global Marketing strategies and support operations in various regions, flexibility will be required to join calls outside of standard business hours on occasion. Flexible time will be provided.
Day to day you will be
Ideate and create compelling content for owned channels as well as digital PR opportunities
Develop and nurture relationships with a wide range of media outlets, blogs and digital influencers across multiple markets (namely Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK and South Africa)
Manage coverage and ensure media and partners provide links back to Flight Centre’s websites
Assist the content team in writing, scheduling and monitoring social media content on owned channels
What you will bring to the role
Experience in a digital PR or content role
A working knowledge of SEO
Experience producing content for social media and monitoring organic performance
Experience in reaching out to and building relationships with key influencers, stakeholders and media outlets is advantageous
Experience placing content and links in top tier global media, niche sites, and working with influencers to create content in partnership advantageous
Experience and understanding of the travel industry (desired)
