Event Travel Consultant
Job Purpose: To support the Event Travel Consultants in the execution and reconciliation of event travel.

Ability to always check for accuracy and correctness.
Pride in full completion of work. Close the loop with Event Lead and clients about open tasks pre, during and post event.

Address potential problems that may arise and when issues do arise immediately communicating with manager and taking ownership.

Responsibilities:
To assist event attendees with booking flights, accommodation, and ground transportation as needed. Ensure that travel is ticketed accurately and adheres to the event travel policies and restrictions. Responsible for booking status of event attendees, ensuring that everyone is booked by event deadline.
To liase between the attendee and meeting planner to receive approval for policy exceptions, special requests, and deviations. Accurately document internal notes in a timely fashion, and format notes in line with meeting management software
To maintain effective and customer focused communication throughout with all stakeholders.
To respond to all client and delegate enquiries professionally and within the agreed timeframes and to ensure customer satisfaction with the response.
To communicate thoroughly internally with lead planners and project team. ”
To assist with both per event admin tasks and business related tasks to keep the business operating.
To participate in the available training opportunities, directed by your Business Leader.
To have competency, growth & development top of mind at all times.
Ensure compliance with federal, and provincial employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, business or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.      
Experience in service-oriented industry with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships.
Internships / industry related experience preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Event Management Software: Cvent or similar preferred
Knowledge of GDS : Sabre or Amadeus preferred
