About the Opportunity
We are on the hunt for a Marketing Analytics Executive to join our dynamic, fast-paced and successful marketing team. In this role, you will report to the Digital Analytics Leader and work collaboratively with the wider Marketing teams (including SEO, Digital Performance, Campaigns team), Product, ECommerce & Development Teams. This will also include collaboration with marketing teams outside of Australia, Flight Centre New Zealand, South Africa, UK, Americas. Location of this role is flexible. This role comes about at a very exciting time for Flight Centre, with the new global Flight Centre website launching mid-year, along with several other exciting digital and retail projects launching soon after. This role will play an integral part in the roll out, ongoing management and governance of the latest GA4 analytics and tracking foundations for the new website from a marketing and one-best-way perspective.
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with GA 360 & GTM. You always focus on best practice, having deep knowledge and understanding of GA 360 and GTM to allow you to implement, optimise and analyse effective measurement of the Flight Centre Website, including identifying future possibilities.
As the Marketing Analytics Executive, you will be technically experienced with translating data and analytics into tangible insights and are encouraged and expected to continue to increasingly look to build on these skills.
In the role you will proactively work closely with the Marketing Operations, Digital Performance and Marketing Automation teams to ensure that website analytics and tracking for marketing activity is continuously optimised to improve efficiency. You will also be expected to work closely with ECommerce & Development teams to ensure analytics/marketing/merchandizing/brand/data needs are being considered on our website roadmap. This includes ticket/testing management for bug fixing.
As this role will support the Flight Centre Global Marketing strategies and support regional businesses, flexibility will be required to join calls outside of standard business hours on occasion. Flexible time will be provided.
Who we are looking for
A strong understanding of best practices across web analytics implementations and tag management platforms including setup and maintenance. Specifically, Google Analytics (360 and Standard), Google Tag Manager, Google Big Query, and the Google Marketing Platform.
Web Tagging solutions best practice.
Must have experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML
Strong problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude to deliver a robust solutions.
Ability to manage multiple projects with rapidly changing variables and confidently take ownership
Can communicate comfortably with engineers when implementing or debugging a tracking solution, and explain complex information to non-technical audiences
Bonus points if you have
Knowledge or experience with GA4 implementations
eCommerce tagging and measurement experience
Knowledge or experience of server-side tracking implementations
Marketing qualification(s).
Retail and/or wholesale travel sales experience
