The key responsibility of the Product Nation Finance Manager is the management of Product Nation’s and Marketing’s financial and management accounts. In addition to the routine Financial Control and Risk Management duties, they will be working with key stakeholders to develop and implement business strategies to achieve optimal profitability, improve and install systems to minimize risks and maximize efficiency.
They will proactively manage the preparation, processing and distribution of comprehensive reporting with respect to understanding the key indicators and therefore performances of the Product Nation businesses.
Responsibilities include:
Preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements and management accounts for the NZ Product Nation and Marketing businesses.
Prepare and consolidate month-end income/cost distributions internally and externally.
Contribute to the strategic planning and implementation of all aspects of the Product and Marketing Businesses.
Build and maintain healthy working relationships with operational leaders and external suppliers.
Contribute as a member of Product Nation finance SWOT team in matters such as business planning, performance management, recruitment and training
Provide coaching to team members while reinforcing high standards in regard to performance, customer service and adherence to company value.
Undertake 2IC responsibilities for FC as required
The ideal candidate will have:
Ability to formulate and encourage team members to work towards a shared vision and purpose
Excellent oral and written communication skills providing the confidence to influence others and effectively communicate both problems and recommendations
Proven Leadership ability
Confident in building business relationships. Ability to work closely with the operational business and other head office teams, providing recommendations and having the difficult conversations when necessary
Training and presentation skills
Drive and motivation. Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines
Flexibility and adaptability
Embraces our companies’ philosophies, values and changes within our company/industry as they occur
Ability to prioritise work and manage stakeholder expectations to ensure deadlines are met
Attention to detail and accuracy
Essential and Preferred Experience/Qualifications
CA or CPA qualification with minimum of 4 year’s experience
Commercially aware and enthusiastic
Strong Excel Skills
Tableu or Power BI – Beginner Level – PREFERRED
