RSA – Project Manager (12 month contract)

Job title:

Project Manager FCTG

Purpose:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, executing and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets, using specific methodologies.
The PM will need to work closely with the Project Owner and Sponsor to understand the scope of the project. The PM will also need to collaborate with the wider project team subject matter experts and ensure that all milestones in the project are on track.

Primary duties and responsibilities (KRAs)

Work with Project Sponsor and stakeholders to complete the project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget and training
Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
Setting an appropriate schedule for the development of certain deliverables
Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders
Managing reports and necessary documentation
Act as a mediator between stakeholders and team members
Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project lifecycle
Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to sponsor
Ensure collaboration between the departments as required by the project
Continuously communicate with the sponsor, owner and stakeholders on the status of the project
Report back on project status to the executive team

Hierarchy:

Reports to Business Leader – People & Culture GM

Key communication and relationships:

Internal: GM’s, Project managers locally and globally, Product Managers, SME’s
External: Client, Suppliers and Partners as appropriate
 

Job Requirements

Education and qualification:

Minimum requirements

Added advantage

Tertiary education

 

Experience:

Prince2 certification required
Minimum 3-5 years in a Project Manager role
Minimum 3 years system project management experience with a proven track record in project involvement and delivery
Travel industry experience – advantageous

Travelling:

Yes – this will be required

Office hours:

8.30 – 17.00 – After hours and weekend will be required at the discretion of the manager (hybrid work environment)
