Job title:
Social Media Specialist
Purpose:
Planning, implementing and monitoring Flight Centre Travel Group’s Paid and Organic Social Media Strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, enquiry and enquiry value. Improve Marketing efforts and increase sales.
Primary duties and responsibilities (KRAs)
Manage and Implement Social Media content Ad content
Measure the success of every paid social media campaign
Create and implement social media marketing plan and editorial calendar
Work with the marketing team to ensure ad content is informative and appealing
Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
Copywriting of social media ads
Create, manage and optimise ads based on campaign theme and duration.
Manage daily bidding strategies and conversions. Provide recommendations strategies for account performance opportunities.
Build audiences according to business needs and segments
Manage social media budget
Provide weekly and monthly reporting for Paid Social Media
Assist with covering and maximising reach of company live events as needed via the company’s social platforms
Focus on customer needs
Implement and maintain social media tracking parameters (Pixel’s & Audience Tags)
Maintain company Social Media pages and profiles
Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes
Collaborate with other departments to manage company reputation, coordinate promotions, and increase reach
Hierarchy:
Leisure Marketing Leader
Key communication and relationships:
Internal: Product and Marketing, Consultants, Customer Experience.
External: Contracted suppliers and customers.

Travel Industry Experience
Experience:
Digital Marketing/Social Media Certificate course or similar
A thorough understanding of the social landscape
An understanding of digital marketing generally
Digital fluency – using technology and apps to optimise efficiency
In-depth hands-on campaign management experience across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
Knowledge or understanding of social media and other content management tools. Sprout Social
Experience in content generation
