Senior Payroll Consultant

We are looking for someone who is energetic, keen to embrace change, has a strong work ethic, exceptional customer service and strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. 
The purpose of the role is all payroll related functions as part of a team of 10, for approximately 5,000 employees across a variety of different pay cycles (including weekly, fortnightly, and monthly).
Senior Payroll consultants are also required to provide support and mentoring to others within the Payroll team.

Key accountabilities:  
Continuous review of systems, procedures, and training
Minimum standards for document handling and filing are met
Ensuring PCI requirements are met, and data is protected to mitigate risk 
Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately
Providing accurate and valuable reporting as per business requirements/request
Collecting, calculating, and entering data to maintain and update Payroll information 
Ensuring both new and old processes have Process Notes regularly reviewed and updated
Building and maintain relationships with Commercial Leaders, accountants, area leaders and team leaders
Mentor, train, and up skill others within the team  
Responsibility for ensuring Payruns are processed accurately, and files provided to Treasury within set deadlines
To keep up to date on Payroll and Fair Work legislation changes and identify/raise when this impacts the FCTG Payroll 
Understanding and interpretation of the Flight Centre Agreement as well as all other remuneration models/agreements within the business

Experience & knowledge :
Sound working knowledge of Excel 
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role 
Experience working with Ascender Payroll system desirable
