Utilizes leadership skills to develop and mentor Meeting Managers and Coordinators.
Assists Director of Operations with monthly team finance tasks to ensure accurate
reporting and forecasting.
Assists Director of Operations with the creation and implementation of best practices &
processes.
Assists Director of Operations with recruitment, onboarding and training of new team
members.
Manages and delegates workflow for the Strategic Meetings Management team.
To manage a portfolio of small to medium size meetings as part of Strategic Meetings Management Programs.
To conduct venue sourcing, contracting and negotiation for each meeting venue.
To manage all meeting logistics including but not limited to food and beverage, breakout rooms, audio visual requirements, ground transfers and off-site functions.
To build and manage the event registration websites, mobile apps and virtual event platforms.
To build and manage the event project timeline with all key deadlines and deliverables.
To build and manage the event budget, from creation, ongoing updates and post event reconciliation.
Maintain files with accuracy for all event critical documents, reporting and communications.
To maintain effective and customer focused communication with all stakeholders.
To respond to all client and delegate enquiries professionally and within the agreed timeframes and to ensure customer satisfaction with the response.
To meet customer specific SLAs.
To assist with both per event admin tasks and business related tasks to keep the business operating.
To participate in the available training opportunities, directed by the Director of Event Operations. To have competency, growth & development top of mind at all times. To take interest in individual “Brightness of Future”.
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, business or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
A minimum of 5 years demonstrated meeting management experience.
Experience in training, mentoring and leading team members
Cvent Technology Venue Sourcing experience preferred
Demonstrated effective customer service skills.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Event Management Software: Cvent or similar.
A knowledge of major suppliers and relevant MICE products/destinations

Location: This role can be performed onsite, remote or on a hybrid schedule, in compliance with the Company’s Remote and Flexible Work Policy.
