StudentUniverse’s parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group is based in Brisbane, Australia and is one of the world’s largest travel agency groups with company owned operations in 23 countries and a corporate travel management network that spans more than 90 countries.

StudentUniverse was born out of the desire to empower students and youth to travel more by accessing uniquely priced airfares, without the hassle of physical ID cards. We are believers in travel experiences; that they can teach students things they cannot learn in the classroom. Travel better prepares young people to influence the world. Who we are looking for
StudentUniverse is seeking an influential Vice President of Marketing to join as a member of the leadership team and have a significant impact on business strategy. As a seasoned ecommerce pro you’ll be fully versed in digital marketing and user experience, with the drive and ambition to build a global brand. As part of a broader close-knit team, you will oversee a world-class group of passionate marketers responsible for growing two brands across four global markets. You’ll be an unambiguous communicator with a knack for business development who can develop and maintain personal relationships with senior executives from our most valued partner companies.

Your responsibilities:
Lead the development of the global marketing strategic plan and budget across acquisition and brand channels.
Lead, inspire & develop a geo-diverse marketing team.
Be the de facto global brand manager (personality, positioning, ToV, brand rules etc). Use your passion for storytelling to craft and lead on all things brand related.
Routinely assess and optimize our frameworks, processes and measurement tools to consistently improve outcomes.
Be obsessed with incremental improvements, performing gap analysis and identifying opportunities for strategic advancement.
Establish the product marketing function to develop segment insights and lead. go-to-market processes to take meaningful new platform products to market.
Be the advocate & voice of marketing at a company executive level.
Must have skills:
7-10 years’ experience in B2C ecommerce marketing.
Experience with ecommerce platforms, marketplaces, marketing automation within technology companies.
Familiar with how to successfully achieve local relevance on a global scale.
Demonstrated leadership experience.
Be a strategic thinker and able to deliver long term value.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, or related field.
Position requires some travel.
