‘Flying Elvises’ mark launch of theme park ride
Thirty Elvis Presley impersonators were the first people to experience of a new theme park ride in the US last week.
Clad in identical white jumpsuits, the ‘Flying Elvises’ marked the launch of Six Flags Great Adventure’s new extreme swing ride, the ‘SkyScreamer’.
“This feels like a scene from ‘Honeymoon in Vegas’,” said Bret Ulozas, President of American Coaster Enthusiast’s New Jersey chapter. “Except instead of skydiving, Elvises and thrillseekers alike can take flight on SkyScreamer to achieve the same adrenaline rush.”
The SkyScreamer ride spins riders in a 30-metre circle at speeds of almost 65kph. We hope the Elvises weren’t all shook up by the experience.
