Funway Holidays ramps up agent training programmes

Funway Holidays has stepped up it’s training programmes with the introduction of new in-house dedicated training days.
The company recently staged a Nevada Trade Show Day training event, which took place at the Funway Offices in Bromley on 21 July.
Suppliers included Nevada Silver Trails, Cowboy Country & Elko Convention and Visitors Authority, Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, White Pine County Tourism and Recreation Board, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Nevada Division of Tourism, Caesars Entertainment, and Papillon Helicopters.
The format of each training day includes supplier presentations and a training quiz on the destination or product in question.
Funway Holidays are 82% up year-on-year for room nights in Nevada (excluding Las Vegas), which includes areas such as Eureka, Lake Tahoe, Ely, Tonopah and Great Basin National Park.
“While we all know that staff training enhances knowledge, skills and competencies, its crucial to have the right type of training. Our dedicated training days provide fun, tailored and dedicated learning,” commented Rebecca Evans/Marketing Executive for Funway Holidays.
“The aim of the training days are to increase reservations staff knowledge which in turn can then be passed on to agents when selling over the phone.”
Funway have another nine training day sessions planned before the end of 2015 on destinations / products such as Deep South, Alamo, Colorado and Daytona Beach.
