G6 Hospitality launches national safety programme

G6 Hospitality, the parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6, has partnered with the Texas Hotels and Lodging Association (THLA) to launch a nationwide hospitality safety and security programme. The initiative, which began with a session in Dallas, provides practical guidance on handling police enquiries, legal responsibilities, and managing guest disturbances. It also covers critical issues such as firearms, active shooter situations, and premises liability.

The programme attracted over 100 hospitality professionals from 15 states, including Texas, California, and Florida. As hotels face increasing criminal activities like human trafficking and identity fraud, this initiative is one of the first industry-backed safety education efforts tailored for the economy lodging segment. It aims to equip franchise owners, general managers, and staff with updated protocols and real-world guidance.

Sonal Sinha, CEO of G6 Hospitality, stated, "Our franchise partners are at the heart of every strategic decision we make. This national seminar programme is a direct investment in their success, their safety, and their long-term growth." The curriculum, developed with THLA and legal experts, offers actionable insights and best practices.

Following the successful pilot workshop, G6 Hospitality and THLA plan to expand the seminar series across major US markets. The programme will include in-person workshops, operational toolkits, and digital resources to ensure accessibility for franchise teams. This initiative aligns with G6 Hospitality's mission to adapt to the evolving safety landscape, ensuring guests feel safe at Motel 6 and Studio 6 locations.
