GCAA ink MoU with Global Aerospace Logistics

UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL) recently inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for training national candidates working in the local civil aviation industry.
The MoU was signed by HE Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of GCAA, and Dr Hassan Youssef Mohammed Al Awadi, CEO of Global Aerospace Logistics in Abu Dhabi. Al Suwaidi stated that GCAA makes every possible effort to carry out necessary cooperation and coordination to achieve objectives related to Emiratisation of civil aviation field.
“The signing of this MoU reflects determination of the GCAA and GAL to support training of local candidates specialized in the field of civil aviation in order to keep up with rapidly advancing civil aviation industry,” added Al Suwaidi.
This MoU will lead to the creation of new internships dedicated for both male and female Emirati’s to encourage aspiring aviators to follow their career aspirations. Additionally, Global Aerospace Logistics will offer six international training programs held outside UAE for selected candidates. The Program is planned to officially be started this year 2012 until 2015.
