Goibibo.com, the online travel site, has launched a new feature offering its customers an easier way to get refunds.
Under its new ‘Go-Time Guarantee’ service, the company guarantees to process refunds within two hours from the time the customer cancels their booking.
If the guarantee is not met, the platform promises to credit INR100 (US$1.50) to the customer’s GoCash wallet for every hour of delay. Goibibo shares – in minutes and seconds – the exact time taken to process the refund to the customer. According to Goibibo, more than 15% of travellers make amendments to their trips, resulting in refunds.
“Goibibo’s core focus is to constantly increase speed, reliability and trust. Launch of ‘Go-Time for refunds’ is just the starting point in solving pain points of buyers,” said Goibibo’s founder & CEO, Ashish Kashyap.
“In the next three to four months, we will give time guarantees to our customers for all processes. We are going to make GoTime ubiquitous,” he added.
