Green Parkroyal opens in Singapore
The new Parkroyal on Pickering hotel opens its doors in Singapore today (16 January 2013).
The hotel, managed by Pan Pacific, has a green theme, including more than 15,000m² of gardens, ponds, waterfalls, terraces and green walls. It also harvests rainwater and generates solar power.
“Our team of knowledgeable and passionate associates are excited to build upon the green architectural foundations of Parkroyal on Pickering to promote sustainable hotel operations and management practices in Singapore,” said the hotel’s General Manager, David Sullivan.
The hotel features 367 rooms and suites with views of the city and the hotel’s sky-gardens. All rooms feature complimentary Wi-Fi, Nespresso coffee machines, rain showers and bathtubs.
The hotel’s F&B outlets include Lime, an all-day restaurant with open kitchen, and a street-level bar serving wine and tapas.
Other facilities at the property include an infinity-edged pool overlooking the city, jacuzzi, fitness centre and an outdoor terrace with cabanas. The St Gregory Spa will be launched in March 2013.
The hotel will also cater for the MICE market, with the pillar-free William Pickering ballroom catering for up to 500 guests.
The 16-storey Parkroyal on Pickering is situated between Hong Lim Park and Chinatown, not far from the Singapore River and Clarke Quay.
