The Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) concluded 2025 with significant growth, training more than 4,000 aviation professionals worldwideโ€”a 15% rise from the previous year. This surge is attributed to investments in simulation and technical capabilities, meeting the regional demand for high-quality aviation training. GAA's expansion included over 300 specialised courses and new commercial agreements with six airlines, extending its reach beyond Bahrain.

Key developments in 2025 featured the readiness of a B737NG joint-venture simulator and the operation of over 10 full-scale simulators, covering aircraft types like A320, B737NG, and B787. Additionally, GAA enhanced its digital training through in-house e-learning platforms, broadening access to select programmes.

Captain Qasim AlBastaki, Gulf Air Chief Operating Officer and GAA Accountable Manager, highlighted the strategic focus on excellence and infrastructure investment, stating, โ€œDemand for high-quality aviation training continues to rise, bringing in revenues which can be reinvested into Bahrainโ€™s aviation industry.โ€

In recognition of its performance, GAA received the Education & Training Quality Authority (BQA) Gold Seal award for the third consecutive year, reflecting compliance with quality benchmarks. As the aviation sector anticipates further growth, GAA is poised to support the evolving needs of airlines and stakeholders across the Gulf and beyond, ensuring the highest training standards through sustained investment and an expanding footprint
