
Hainan Airlines and Air Europa officially began the implementation of their their codeshare agreement yesterday, 1st July.
The agreement marks a significant milestone in connectivity between Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Indeed, this strategic alliance will strengthen the interconnection of the two airlines' networks and provide passengers with a more flexible, efficient, and convenient travel experience.
What the agreement entails
Under the framework of this agreement, Hainan Airlines' flight code "HU" will be integrated into Air Europa's long-haul flights operated from Madrid to the following destinations in Latin America: Lima (Peru), São Paulo (Brazil), Salvador de Bahía (Brazil), and Panama City (Panama).
Currently, Hainan Airlines operates direct flights from Chongqing and Shenzhen to Madrid.
Leveraging Air Europa's extensive Latin American route network, this cooperation will enable the establishment of a more efficient air corridor between China and Latin America.
