Hertz Rent-a-Car announced the launch of an Arabic language function across its Middle East regional websites, targeting 86 million Arabic speaking Internet users.
To be introduced at the beginning of June, the move was announced by Elyes Mrad, vice president of sales and marketing for Hertz International. The Arabic option will initially be made available across the local Hertz website domains in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan.
Mrad said online bookings have jumped up by 40%. The company is also aggressively expanding its General Sales Agent (GSA) representatives throughout the region, aimed at boosting outbound car rentals from the Middle East to key markets in Europe and the USA. In the last 12 months, Hertz has appointed dedicated GSAs in Kuwait, Southern Africa, Lebanon, Turkey, and Jordan.
