Holiday Inn Suva launches Fiji’s first self-service kiosk

Holiday Inn Suva has unveiled Fiji's inaugural hotel self-service check-in and check-out kiosk, revolutionising the guest experience by offering a more efficient and flexible process. This innovative service, which complements traditional front desk options, allows guests to manage their arrival and departure digitally, particularly beneficial during peak times.

The kiosk, located in the hotel lobby, operates on a cashless basis, accepting both local and international credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard. This initiative aligns with the evolving preferences of travellers who seek convenience and choice, whilst still valuing the warmth of personal hospitality.

Lachlan Walker, Regional General Manager for Fiji and Pacific at IHG Hotels and Resorts, stated, “The introduction of a self-service kiosk at Holiday Inn Suva reflects our approach to integrating technology that meets modern travel needs, whilst maintaining the importance of human connection.” The project was spearheaded by Akshay Chand, Portfolio Director of Information Technology, who was honoured with the Rising Star Award at the 2025 ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards for his contributions to innovation.

General Manager Mohammed Feroz emphasised the brand’s commitment to ease and reliability, noting that the new kiosk responds to changing guest expectations for speed and choice. This development is part of Holiday Inn Suva's ongoing investment in guest-focused innovation, ensuring that the hotel remains a leader in providing straightforward and welcoming service
