The opening of the Andaz Shanghai sees the launch of Hyatt’s Andaz brand in Asia.
The newly constructed 28-story hotel has 307 spacious guestrooms, including 47 premier rooms and suites, all of which feature colour adjustable LED lighting.
Restaurants and bars at Andaz Shanghai serve up seasonal local produce alongside a wine list of boutique vintners. The main outlet, called Hai Pai, is a four-level hub with two restaurants, a bar and four private dining rooms offering tailor-made menus for special occasions. In the Andaz Lounge, all non-alcoholic mini bar drinks and all-day light snacks are complimentary, as are local telephone calls and wireless Internet access. There is also a patisserie serving freshly made breads, cakes and homemade ice cream. Leisure facilities include an indoor pool, 24-hour gym and the Optime Spa, which will open at a later stage
The hotel also boasts three floors reserved for events. There are three meeting rooms and a ballroom with a reception capacity of 460 people. The Andaz Garden Studio will open at the end of the year, featuring four event rooms and a Glass Pavilion.
Hyatt introduced the Andaz brand in 2007 and it now has a presence in London, New York, San Diego, West Hollywood, and now Shanghai. Paying special attention to the locale, the brand aims to deliver “an innovative hospitality experience and attentive, uncomplicated service designed to accommodate guests’ personal preferences”.
