The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India's largest hospitality firm, has announced the signing of a new SeleQtions hotel in Devanahalli, Bengaluru. This development involves converting a standalone resort and expanding its capacity to 120 keys. The move marks the first SeleQtions hotel in Bengaluru, aiming to cater to the city's rapid growth driven by its IT and entrepreneurial sectors.
The upcoming SeleQtions Prakruthi Resort will offer diverse culinary options, including an all-day diner, a speciality restaurant, a bar, and a lounge. Guests will also have access to wellness facilities such as a spa, gym, and swimming pool. Additionally, the hotel will feature over 6,000 square feet of banqueting space, making it suitable for both social and corporate events.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, highlighted the strategic importance of the location, stating, “Bengaluru is among the fastest-growing cities in the country, powered by its thriving IT and entrepreneurial ecosystem. North Bengaluru, particularly Devanahalli, is witnessing rapid development driven by the expansion of the airport and the presence of sectors such as aerospace, biotechnology, defence, and education.”
The project is a collaboration with BABA Developers Private Limited. Parvataneni Sasibhushan, Managing Director of BABA Developers, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “We are delighted to partner with IHCL to bring the SeleQtions brand to Bengaluru and create a distinctive hospitality experience in Devanahalli.”
With this addition, IHCL will operate 20 hotels in Bengaluru, including 11 currently under development
