Indian carriers receive new A320s
Two Indian low-cost carriers, GoAir and IndiGo, have taken delivery of new Airbus A320 aircraft.
Mumbai-based GoAir received the 14th of an order for 20 A320s this week, but the latest aircraft is the first to come equipped with the ‘Sharklet’ wing-tip extensions, which are designed to save fuel.
The Sharklets are also fitted to IndiGo’s new A320. The Delhi-based LCC has ordered 130 A320s, and has so far taken delivery of 62.
