Islandhopping launches Mediterranean mountain biking tours

Boat Bike Tours' Islandhopping brand has unveiled a series of mountain biking tours across the Mediterranean, providing an adventurous way to explore the region's coastal villages and islands. The tours, which run from April to June and September to November, span destinations from Croatia's Adriatic coast to Greece's Aegean islands and Turkey's Gulf of Gökova. Each tour lasts eight days, allowing participants to enjoy both mountain biking and traditional cycling, catering to diverse preferences within travelling groups.

The tours promise a blend of exhilarating trails and scenic cruising. Jacob Ketel, Managing Director of Islandhopping, highlighted the tours' appeal: “Our mountain biking tours bring together some of the best trails and cruising in the Mediterranean. They’re perfect for riders who are looking to leave the pavement behind, get out into nature and take on more of a challenge.”

Participants will traverse a variety of terrains, from gravel roads to challenging singletracks, with options for full-suspension mountain bikes and e-mountain bikes. Off the bike, guests can explore medieval cities, historic towns, and enjoy local culture, swimming, and sunbathing. Accommodation is provided on wooden motor yachts and traditional Turkish gulets, offering comfort and local cuisine.

Islandhopping's unique model allows mountain biking tours to operate alongside traditional cycling tours on the same boat, making it ideal for families and friends with different cycling preferences. This innovative approach ensures that all guests can enjoy their holiday together, regardless of their cycling interests.
