ITC Travel Group has integrated Western & Oriental’s tailor-made experiential travel product under its Inspiring Travel Company brand.
The move will increase the brand’s featured hotels by almost 200% to over 1,500 across the world. For the first time, ITC clients will be offered a choice of almost 300 tailor-made touring and multi-centre itineraries.
Jennifer Atkinson, who has recently stepped up from the position of CEO to the role of chairman at ITC Travel Group, said: “I’m excited to announce this next phase in our brand strategy. The merging of Western & Oriental with Inspiring Travel Company will bring an extraordinary level of choice for our clients, offering our broadest ever selection of holidays under one banner and really setting us apart from the crowd.”
As per the integration, visitors of Western & Oriental’s website will be redirected to inspiringtravelcompany.co.uk. All communications will be transferred, with full retention of staff, agents and clients.
Newly-appointed CEO Mal Barritt, who initially joined the business in September 2017 as COO, is jointly leading the merge with Atkinson. He stated: “It’s an exciting time for me to be taking the helm at ITC as we further strengthen our range of product and continue to invest in and grow our exceptional teams in Chester, London and beyond.”
The newly-expanded company will continue to offer a hand-picked selection of high-end resorts and exclusive travel in regions such as the Caribbean, Europe and the Indian Ocean, with the integration of Western & Oriental bringing in a special knowledge of tailor-made travel to places like India, the USA and the Far East.
