Japan Airlines (JAL) will launch its new ‘Sky Suite’ in-flight products on the Tokyo Narita-Frankfurt route.
Commencing in April 2014, the airline will operate the European route using a Boeing 777 fitted with a range of new cabin products, which JAL says are designed to make passengers feel like they are travelling “one class higher”. These include new flat-bed seats in first and business class, larger in-flight entertainment monitors and power sockets.
The modified B777s come with 244 seats in four classes – eight ‘JAL Suites’ in first class, 49 ‘Sky Suites’ in business class, 40 ‘Sky Premium’ seats in premium economy and 147 ‘Sky Wider’ seat in economy.
JAL’s new cabin products were initially rolled out in January 2013 on the Tokyo-London route and have since been introduced to B777s operating to New York, Paris and Los Angeles.
The airline is also now introducing the products to its B767 aircraft.
