Japanese Prime Minister Shinto Abe has expressed his interest to promote Japan among Indian travellers.
The Minister plans to invite approximately 1,200 youth from India to visit Japan through JENESYS 2.0 with an objective to promote interest towards Japan among the youth of India and to promote tourism between the two countries. India’s Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh was on a official visit to Japan earlier this week.
Noting that there is a very high potential for growth of tourism traffic between the two countries, the two Prime Ministers underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation in the tourism sector. They also welcomed the recent progress concerning bilateral cooperation in between the Ministry of Tourism in India and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, stated the PIB release.
