Head of Finance, Travel Industry, Homebased (with accessibility to London). We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join this well-established company in the travel industry where you will oversee all financial activities including reporting, financial planning, budgeting, analysis and compliance with regulatory bodies. You will be working closely with the executive and senior leadership team to improve profitability, drive financial growth and the meeting of business objectives.

Head of Finance Responsibilities

• You will be leading and have ultimate responsibility over the finance team of 7, through 2 direct reports (including a financial accountant and financial business partner).
• Develop and execute the financial strategy and annual budget, conduct financial analysis, forecasting and modelling to identify risks and opportunities for growth.
• Oversee preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead on departmental budgeting process, monitoring expenditure and maintaining financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as CAA, FCA, ABTA and HMRC
• Overseeing group treasury, cashflow management and liaising with external auditors.
• Team Leadership and development.

Head of Finance Skills Required

• Must be fully qualified (ACCA or CIMA)
• Proven experience in a financial leadership role within the travel industry
• In depth knowledge of financial planning, analysis and reporting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial modelling and forecasting.
• Experience of process improvement and driving efficiencies
• Prior experience operating at a Financial Controller / Head of Finance / Finance Director level
• Someone who enjoys being hands on yet strategically capable
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and get the best out of a remote team

Head of Finance Additional Details

• A competitive basic salary dependant on experience plus bonus

• Majority home based, albeit fairly accessible to London where team and business meetings take place on an occasional basis
