Health, Safety and Compliance Manager – Hotel/Travel Industry – Leeds/ Hybrid / Remote – Up to c45k. An excellent opportunity to join a well established travel company where you will be responsible for implementing compliance towards risk, health and safety of UK Hotels.
Health, Safety and Compliance Manager Responsibilities
- Review and monitor property audits carried out by 3rd party consultancy.
- Document remedial action highlighted and engage with each property until mutually agreeable outcomes are reached.
- Work in accordance with the companies Quality Management System ( QMS ) ISO 9001.
- Visit properties across the UK to review H&S measures and ensure performance is in keeping with the agreed contract.
- Work in partnership with 3rd party auditors to ensure processes follow regulatory standards.
- Ongoing data analysis, ensuring it’s available to support with decision making with regards to the hotels.
Health, Safety and Compliance Manager Skills Required
- Experience in Hotel H&S / Auditing / Risk Assessment is a must
- You may have worked directly for a hotel chain doing internal audits or perhaps a tour operator doing overseas H&S auditing
- H&S Degree or advanced level qualification such as NEBOSH
- Experience working with Quality Management System (preferably ISO 9001)
- Advance level food hygiene qualification
- Excellent stakeholder and project management skills
- Flexible to travel around the UK visiting hotel partners
Health, Safety and Compliance Manager Additional Details
- A basic salary up to circa £45,000 depending on experience and qualifications
- The role can be remote with all business related travel costs covered.
- You will ideally visit the head office near Leeds each week but more important is the flexibility to visit hotels across the UK.
- Contracted hours are Monday – Friday, 9am-530pm, however due to the nature of the work occasional flexibility to work outside these hours or at the weekend may be required at times.
