International Head of Sales – Escorted Tours – UK Based. A truly unique and amazing opportunity for an experienced head of sales / sales director to join an international NGO who are launching an escorted tours business in Central Asia. The organisation will be launching a range of highly experiential, cultural and activity based trips, both scheduled and FIT for the groups/education market and profits from the venture will be funnelled back in to development projects that enhance and improve the local communities
International Head of Sales Responsibilities
The ultimate aim of this role will be to maximise occupancy of the tours and drive distribution/sales of the product globally. This will be done by engaging with trade partners such as tour operators, travel agencies, consortia, MICE and educational organisations to raise awareness of the product and encourage bookings. You will also represent the organisation at major travel shows such as WTM/ITB, hold virtual or in person (when permitted) meetings with potential partners, negotiate commercial agreements and help with brand awareness. Whilst the NGO are a well-established organisation, the tour operating business is very much a start-up, so the role will be hands-on, varied, fast paced with challenges along the way so we are looking for someone who is up to the task!
International Head of Sales Skills Required
Must have a successful track record of travel industry sales/distribution with an extensive network of trade partners internationally
We are ideally looking for someone from the escorted tours and/or adventure travel sector who will understand the market this organisation will be operating in

International Head of Sales Package
This is a full-time, permanent position, however as the company are headquartered outside the UK, they do not have a registered business here so would be looking for someone who is happy to work on a contractor/self-employed basis.
The role can work remotely, with occasional travel to London where one of the directors is based and post Covid there could be up to 25% travel to attend trade fairs/clients meetings etc.
As this is a new and very important role to the business, the salary is not set in stone and negotiable for the right individual dependant on experience.
