GCS Recruitment are searching for an Operations Manager to work with one of the leading manufacturing companies in Malta.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring day-to-day activities
• Managing the facility and the human resources to operate in line with company values
• Ensuring facility runs effectively and the quality of a product meets company expectations and customer’s satisfactions
• Preparing and directing plans to maximise productivity levels and minimize operating expenses
• Planning and establishing work schedules and ensuring targets are met
• Improving operational management systems, processes and best practices
• Ensuring operations follow legal compliant procedures
• Identifying and addressing problems to introduce new opportunities for the company
• Managing and supervising product inventory
• Ensuring effective machinery operations and installation works with maintenance personnel

Requirements:

• Qualification in a relevant field or management will be considered an asset, however, training would be provided
• Proven work experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry would be ideal
• Proficient in computer use especially Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent communication skills in English and Maltese; both written and verbal
• Knowledge of the Italian language would be considered as an asset
• Leadership skills
• Ability to lead a team
• Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
