Your Responsibilities
As the BDM will be responsible for securing new business opportunities within the Australian and New Zealand corporate travel market. To excel in this role, you will have an excellent network, be an active listener, highly articulate, have a compelling sales personality, and an insatiable hunger to chase and close new business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
- Planning and implementing new business and marketing initiatives.
- Researching organisations and individuals to source new opportunities.
- Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
- Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
- Negotiating contract terms consistent with our standard SaaS agreements.
- Developing targets and ensuring they are met.
- Assist with the implementation of new business to ensure customers are successfully on-boarded and proficient in the use of our products.
Essential Skills / Qualities
- Established network within the corporate travel management industry.
- Demonstrated experience in sales, marketing or related field.
- Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
