Sales & Product Marketing co-ordinator – Tour Operator – Hampshire –£18k plus commission

Sales & Product Marketing co-ordinator – Tour Operator

  • To build relationships, update itineraries and work with overseas partners to maximise marketing and sales opportunities. Ensure Marketing Manager is provided with updated tour and rental information for the website.
  • To generate leads through social media marketing following agreed plan with Marketing Manager
  • To develop and manage sales enquiries and log for each country
  • Sales conversion (hunting)
  • Generating new business from existing customers
  • Attending motorcycle events and shows in the UK to promote the company
  • For your allotted countries, you will be responsible for product development, marketing and lead generation (working in conjunction with Marketing Manager), quotes, sales, booking, documentation, and completion of the holiday, plus follow up:
  • For every booking this includes planning itineraries, booking flights and additional travel requirements, advising on travel regulations and tour restrictions, managing payments in and out (with Accounts), tourbook writing, and production developing customer relationships.
  • To work with USA Manager to increase conversion rates on US rentals and self-guided tours. (Excludes guided tours). Quick and productive way to learn the business during first 3 months probationary period, no commission element.
  • To suggest new working practices, and implement if agreed.
  • As well as familiarity with all of the above, you will also need to understand US guided tour programme.

This job requires a long-term strategic approach as well as daily hands on work. The time from enquiry to holiday can often be two years and averages 9-11 months. Application and patience are required!

Full-time (9-5.30, 5 days a week, including Saturdays as customers often want to come and visit, Sunday and agreed weekday off
