Journey Beyond opens 2027 bookings with new tours

Journey Beyond, a leading experiential tour operator, has announced the opening of bookings for its 2027 season, featuring an expanded product portfolio. This includes the extension of the iconic transcontinental rail journey, The Ghan, two new Outback Spirit Tours, and the reintroduction of city stays as part of longer rail journeys. The Ghan's northbound itinerary will now offer a three-night, four-day experience, allowing guests more time to explore the vast outback of South Australia and the Red Centre.

The 2027 season follows a record year in 2025, driven by strong domestic and international demand. Alicia Triggs, Executive General Manager Sales & Partnerships at Journey Beyond, expressed gratitude for the travel industry's support, noting, "The support we continue to receive from the travel industry is extraordinary, and we're genuinely grateful for the role agents play in the ongoing success of our rail journeys."

The new itinerary will begin with a dinner in one of South Australia's renowned wine regions, followed by a full day exploring the Flinders Ranges. The journey continues north, stopping in Alice Springs and Katherine for Off Train Experiences before arriving in Darwin. Prices start from £1,674 for a Gold single cabin, with departures from March to November.

Additionally, Journey Beyond introduces two new holiday packages in partnership with Outback Spirit. The 7-Day Queensland Hinterland Spectacular and the 8-Day Spectacular Kangaroo Island offer immersive experiences with savings of up to £448 per person. Triggs highlighted the popularity of these tours, stating, "In 2026, Outback Spirit experienced its strongest growth through trade to date."

With significant savings available for early bookings, Journey Beyond encourages travellers to secure their 2027 adventures now.
