JW Marriott Phu Quoc is marking the Lunar New Year with "Tết - The Blooming Season," a nine-day event that combines cultural traditions, cuisine, and wellness activities. Recently ranked as the fifth-best resort in Asia by Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards, the resort is renowned for its unique approach to seasonal celebrations. This year, the festivities are set against the picturesque backdrop of Emerald Bay, offering guests a blend of renewal and relaxation.
The celebration is anchored by Lichun, the traditional start of spring on 4 February, and coincides with Valentine’s Day. Guests can enjoy a variety of experiences, including dining by Michelin Collector Chef Olivier Elzer, who uses early spring ingredients to create a menu that symbolises renewal. The resort also offers wellness activities such as meditation and spa treatments designed to rejuvenate both body and mind.
The resort's Lamarck House, a seven-bedroom residence inspired by French architecture, provides a secluded retreat with personalised services, including complimentary spa treatments and a private BBQ. Meanwhile, the resort's dining venues, such as Tempus Fugit and Red Rum, offer seasonal menus that highlight Vietnamese Tết flavours and international cuisines.
Throughout the season, guests can partake in traditional activities like calligraphy and clay toy-making, whilst the Department of Chemistry Bar offers Tết-inspired cocktails. The celebration also features dragon and lion dances, adding a vibrant touch to the festivities.
As Tết and Valentine’s Day overlap, the resort presents romantic dining options, including a beachside dinner at Red Rum and a refined experience at Pink Pearl by Olivier E., complete with live performances and Champagne. The resort's collaboration with Aapis Flower introduces orchid installations that embody the theme of vitality and rebirth, enhancing the immersive experience for guests.
