Kingfisher pilots strike indefinitely
A decision taken by Mumbai-based pilots to strike indefinitely from today could spell the end for Kingfisher Airlines.
“Mumbai-based pilots have decided to go on a strike from Wednesday onwards due to management’s failure to keep its commitment on March salary payment,” a source in the airline told PTI.
With the carrier already on its knees, pilots are pushing their case over non-payment, and have vowed not to return to the cockpit until dues are settled. This is the second strike in ten days, and with the majority of the airline’s 100 scheduled services operating out of either Mumbai or Delhi, this move by pilots will affect operations dramatically.
