Korea Tourism concludes India roadshow

Korea Tourism has concluded its two-city road show in Indian cities of New Delhi and Mumbai.
The tourism board held events on 23 October at Hotel Claridges in New Delhi and 25 October 2013 at Hotel Sofitel in Mumbai.
The road show in Delhi saw participation from three Korean DMCs, while Mumbai event saw four DMCs participating in the event.
Ki Hun Kim, Executive Director of Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) said, “Between January to September 2013, around 96,400 visitors came to Korea from India, a sign of Korea getting recognition and popularity in the Indian market. Although the traffic is increasing, the destination is still perceived as a MICE cum business destination but not a leisure destination. To attract leisure travellers, KTO plans to conduct brand campaigning, organise FAM trips for top selling agents of India, FAM trip for media, increasing frequency of road shows, more active participation in trade exhibition, joint trade promotion and likewise.”
