Langham Place moves into USA
Hong Kong’s Langham Hospitality Group has announced the launch of its Langham Place brand in the USA.
The company has taken over the management of the former Setai Fifth Avenue and this week relaunched it as the Langham Place Fifth Avenue, not only marking Langham Place’s debut in North America but also Langham Hospitality’s arrival in New York City.
“We are excited that the launch of the Langham Place brand in North America is in New York City, the crossroads of the world’s business, culture and fashion industries,” said Brett Butcher, CEO of Langham Hospitality Group. “Langham Place Fifth Avenue is a milestone in our global expansion in the world’s most important destinations and it will be a welcome addition to the group’s North American portfolio,”
Located at 400 Fifth Avenue, in the centre of New York City, the new Langham Place features 214 rooms and suites plus a Michelin-starred restaurant, Ai Fiori, and event space. The property will now undergo a refurbishment project the will include the development of a new Chuan Spa, to be unveiled in 2014.
Langham Place Fifth Avenue becomes Langham Hospitality’s third hotel in the US, following Langham hotels in Boston and Pasadena. The Langham Chicago is also expected to open its doors this summer.
