Victoria Sturley has been named as marketing executive at AITO. Sturley joins the association from Ocean World Travel where she held a similar role and she was also a cruise specialist at Travelbag. Her role will include raising awareness of the AITO brand including its new website due to launch in the summer.
Diane Court has joined Destinology to develop its trade sales arm. She has moved from Freedom Travel Group to the tour operator and has also held roles at Virgin Holidays and Gold Medal. It comes as Destinology plans to open an online booking system to trade later this month.
Carrie Herrick has been promoted to national account manager at Jurys Inn. Herrick originally joined the hotel chain as sales manager for Jurys Inn Derby in June 2010 and will now be responsible for corporate and conference accounts across the group. Steph Lewis has joined the group as sales manager of Jurys Inn Plymouth.
Neil Hardy is to join icelolly.com this summer. He will leave his role at Midcounties Co-op to be responsible for the customer experience and functionality for icelolly.com’s websites and brands. Naomi Whitton has joined the site as social media manager, while Danielle Elias has become content marketing manager.
Richard Cruise has been appointed director of international sales UK at AKA. Cruise will be based in the serviced residence brand’s London office with a focus on increasing international stays to its London property and driving Europe and Middle Eastern business to its US properties. He previously launched Ascott Hotels in the UK and founded Reside International.
Sergio Leandro has been named as hotel manager at Le Méridien Piccadilly. He joins the hotel from Sheraton Algarve and replaces Oscar Del Campo, how has become complex general manager of St Regis Mardavall, soon to be Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf hotel. Sue Finlay has become hotel manager at Sheraton Park Tower, London from 22 years at Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh. She has swapped hotels with Tristan Nesbitt, who has become general manager at the Edinburgh property.
Jane Moss has been appointed general manager of Z Liverpool. Moss was previously conferencing and finance manager at The Life Conferencing Centre in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
