Lion Air receives new Boeing aircraft

Indonesia’s Lion Air will soon be operating the first 30 Boeing 737-900ERs out of a total order of 178 aircraft, the Jakarta Post has reported. Three aircraft have arrived at Lion’s home base at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport while fourth is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Lion Air’s B737-900ER aircraft is configured to carry 220 passengers in a single-class layout.
