I Spa, which operates 15 luxury Thai spas in China, is expanding into Thailand with the opening of two new spas at five-star hotels in Bangkok and Phuket.
The company currently operates high-end wellness centres in Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Tangshan, Nanjing, Xi’an and Sanya, but the brand will officially arrive in its spiritual home of Thailand today with the opening of an I Spa at The Landmark Bangkok. Occupying a 750m² space on the hotel’s ninth floor, I Spa at The Landmark Bangkok features 10 treatment rooms with 12 spa beds and four foot therapy rooms with five loungers.
Details of the Phuket spa are yet to be announced, and the company is in discussions to expand the brand further across the region.
“We are under negotiations with other hotels in Thailand and Cambodia, and we look forward to continuing to expand the I Spa and I Spa Life brands to major destinations in Thailand and its neighboring countries,” said Sirirat Fungkhajon, co-founder of I Spa.
‘I Spa Life’ is a brand new spa offering from I Spa, designed for small-scale hotels with limited space. In addition to the Thai expansion, the company is also launching new outlets in Beijing and Hangzhou.
“In Thailand, I SPA brings a range of ancient health and beauty therapies from China, India, Indonesia, Japan and Thailand to create a sanctuary of well being in line with our slogan, ‘I Spa Thailand, where legendary Asian therapies live on’,” said Sirirat.
